Hollee A. McGinnis

Hollee A. McGinnis is the Policy & Operations Director for the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute and is also a prominent educator and researcher on international and transracial adoption. She has written and spoken extensively on issues of racial and ethnic identity, birth search and reunion, history and politics of intercountry adoption, and parenting adopted children. She is the founder of the non-profit adult intercountry adoptee organization Also-Known-As which provides post-adoption services for adult adoptees and adoptive families. Ms. McGinnis received her masters of science from Columbia University School of Social Work, where she concentrated in social welfare policy and international social welfare, and completed a post-masters’ clinical social work fellowship at the Yale University Child Study Center. She has been in reunion with her birth family since 1996.
